FreshKon Complete Review: 2026 Alluring Colours & Clear Lens Range

FreshKon Complete Review: 2026 Alluring Colours & Clear Lens Range

Among the colour contact lens brands sold in Hong Kong, FreshKon is one of the quieter ones — no celebrity campaign, no seasonal hype. What it sells on is colours that read as natural rather than costume, a choice of daily and monthly wear, and pricing that does not assume you are buying a fashion accessory.

This review works through every FreshKon lens WateryEyes carries: the three colour lines — Alluring Eyes, Charmante and Colors Fusion — plus the clear daily, FreshKon Daily. Colours, specifications, prescription coverage, and how to choose a shade that suits your own eyes. For the wider Asian colour lens field, see our Asian colour contact lens guide; for the Japanese counterpart, our Acuvue Define review.

Material and water content follow the cycle: every daily is Etafilcon A at 58% water, every monthly Methafilcon A at 55%.

Three things hold across the range. It is nearsighted correction only — no farsighted, toric or multifocal options anywhere in the line, so astigmatism and presbyopia wearers should look at the astigmatism and presbyopia collections instead. Parameters are consistent: 8.5 base curve on every daily, 8.6 on every monthly, 14.2mm diameter throughout, which makes moving between lines within the brand unusually straightforward. And the oxygen figures on the product pages are marked as estimates, so we have deliberately not built a Dk/t comparison table from them — material and water content are the honest points of comparison here.

Alluring Eyes: four shades, in daily and monthly

Alluring Eyes' design point is a double-ring pattern — outer and inner rings printed at different depths, so the edge of the iris reads as defined rather than as a flat black rim. The product pages also list an HA moisturising agent, and a pigment-locking construction that seals the colour particles inside the lens rather than on its surface.

The same four shades run across both the daily and the monthly:

  • Majestic Brown — a warm brown, the most wearable of the four for the office.
  • Winsome Brown — slightly brighter than Majestic; a little contrast without announcing itself.
  • Mystical Black — the most direct definition effect, which is why it turns up in photos and evening wear.
  • Magnetic Grey — the grey option, with the strongest departure from a dark iris; more visible against lighter hair or makeup.

The daily comes in a 30-pack and needs no care routine; the monthly comes as a 2-pack and suits wearing a few times a week at a lower running cost, provided you clean and store it every day. The two are not the same material — Etafilcon A at 58% water for the daily, Methafilcon A at 55% for the monthly, on 8.5 and 8.6 base curves respectively — so if you are moving from one to the other, start with short wearing sessions.

Charmante and Colors Fusion: choosing a shade

If Alluring Eyes is the natural-definition line, the other two pull in different directions.

Charmante 1-Day has the most colours — six, in three pairs. Charmante Blossom and Charmante Choco are the soft, warm end; Charmante Diamond and Charmante Hazel are the layered, natural end; Charmante Sapphire and Charmante Gold are the ones that read as a deliberate effect. It is also the only lens in the range whose product page publishes a coloured diameter (13.3mm), which means its enlargement effect is a number you can actually check rather than infer. It comes as a 10-pack, which makes it the sensible way to trial a shade.

Colors Fusion splits by cycle, and the palettes are not identical. The daily offers Brilliant Brown and Shimmering Grey; the monthly offers Brilliant Brown, Glinting Brown and Shimmering Grey. Glinting Brown — the mid-tone of the three — exists only in the monthly.

A practical way to choose: start from your own iris. Grey shades show the most contrast on a dark brown iris, which is exactly why they read as an effect; brown shades sit closer to it and pass as natural. For the office, take a brown; for photographs, a black or grey does more work. Every colour lens is browsable together in the colour lens collection.

FreshKon Daily: the option without colour

Not everyone wants a colour. FreshKon Daily is the one clear (slightly tinted) daily in the range — the faint handling tint that lets you find the lens in solution, with no effect on eye colour when worn.

Its product page specifies blocking of 80% of UVA and 95% of UVB. Worth being precise about what that means: a UV-blocking lens covers the cornea it sits on, not the whole eye or the skin around it, so it does not replace sunglasses. Note also that its powers start at -1.00 — there is no -0.75 or shallower, which matters if your prescription is light.

Three things to know before buying colour lenses

First, a colour lens is a medical device, not cosmetics. A first fitting, a brand change or a line change all deserve a registered optometrist confirming that the base curve and diameter suit your eyes.

Second, never share them, and never stretch the wearing schedule. A daily is one day. A monthly is 30 days from opening, even if you have only worn it a handful of times.

Third, makeup has an order: lenses in first, then makeup; lenses out before removing makeup. Eyeliner and mascara particles getting between the lens and the eye is a common reason a colour lens turns uncomfortable. And as with any lens, do not swim, use a spa, or sleep in them.

Frequently asked questions

Which FreshKon shade looks most natural?

For something you can wear to work, Majestic Brown in Alluring Eyes and Charmante Hazel are usually closest to a dark brown iris. If natural is the goal, avoid the high-contrast greys and blues.

Are the Alluring Eyes daily and monthly colours the same?

The same four shades, yes, but not the same lens: Etafilcon A at 58% water on an 8.5 base curve for the daily, Methafilcon A at 55% on 8.6 for the monthly. Expect them to look alike and potentially feel different.

Does FreshKon make toric or multifocal lenses?

Not in the range carried here — all six lenses are nearsighted correction only. For astigmatism see the astigmatism collection; for presbyopia, the presbyopia collection.

Are colour lenses bad for your eyes?

Properly manufactured colour lenses seal the pigment within the lens, so it never contacts the surface of the eye. The risk usually comes from elsewhere: a base curve that does not fit, wearing past the replacement date, inadequate cleaning, or sharing lenses. Following the fitting and the schedule is what matters.

Can I wear FreshKon without a prescription?

The powers on offer are nearsighted; Alluring Eyes, Charmante and Colors Fusion go down to -0.00, which is effectively the plano end, while FreshKon Daily starts at -1.00. Prescription or not, the lens still needs to be professionally fitted.

Is a 10-pack or a 30-pack better value?

Per lens, the 30-pack, comfortably. The 10-pack earns its place as a trial: if you are unsure a shade suits you, Charmante's 10-pack is the lighter commitment.

In short

FreshKon knows what it is: colour and clear lenses in daily and monthly wear, no toric or multifocal, and consistent parameters throughout (8.5 for dailies, 8.6 for monthlies, 14.2mm across the board), which makes moving between its lines easy. Take Alluring Eyes for natural definition, Charmante for the widest palette and a published coloured diameter, Colors Fusion monthly if you want the mid-tone brown, and FreshKon Daily if you want no colour at all.

Every line and its current pricing is on the FreshKon collection page. If it is your first time choosing a shade, or you are not sure of your base curve, ask our team.
