Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are the contact lenses authorized or parallel imports? Are they safe?
A: The contact lenses sold in our store includes both authorized and parallel imports. Regardless of whether they are authorized or parallel imports, they are produced by the same manufacturer. In principle, the difference between authorized and parallel imports is the place of origin and/or manufacturing.

Q: How come Watery Eyes can offer prices lower than other retailers?
A: Most retailers source their contact lenses from 2nd, 3rd, 4th tier distributors overseas, which means their cost is often controlled by distributors in the lower tiers. In order to maximize cost savings and offer the best prices to our customers, we purchase in bulk from major distributors.

Q: How long is the remaining shelf life for contact lenses?
A: The expiration date is printed on each and every box of contact lenses. Generally speaking, contact lenses are produced with a shelf life of 3 to 5 years, but varies depending on the brand and type of contact lenses. Contact lenses sold at Watery Eyes will have a remaining shelf life of no less than 1 year.
